Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a data analytics professional to join the team in the United States. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, preparing analysis-ready datasets, and delivering actionable insights for mission-driven readiness analytics.

You will design ETL/ELT processes, work with SQL Server and Databricks, and develop dashboards in Power BI. Collaboration across teams and strong data storytelling are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years’ experience in quantitative or related field.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access (Microsoft Office).
• Working knowledge of SQL Server (SQL/T‑SQL) and relational schemas.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Foundational programming in Python or R for analysis and ML workflows.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and version control (Git).
• Experience building visuals in Power BI (reports, datasets, semantic models).
• Familiarity with Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) and Power Automate.
• Basic NLP and LLM familiarity for text data use cases.
• Ability to translate mission needs into data requirements and analytics outputs.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React; backend exposure to Django or ASP.NET Core.
• Advanced Spark/Databricks patterns and MLOps concepts.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, integrate, and prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and analytics.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL Server and Databricks (PySpark).
• Develop curated datasets with data quality and lineage considerations.
• Optimize performance, partitioning, and job scheduling; monitor workloads.
• Apply statistics, data mining, and ML for forecasts and ready analytics.
• Create dashboards and semantic models in Power BI for consistent metrics.
• Support Power Platform integration (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Handle unstructured data prep and labeling for NLP use cases.
• Familiar with LLMs and prompt patterns; assist seniors in deployments.
• Document sources, transformations, and methodologies for transparency.
