Job summary

You will build scalable workflows using Python, SQL, and Spark; model data schemas, ensure quality and lineage, and collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and security teams to deliver reliable datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, development, or related area supporting data pipelines, databases, or analytics platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL for building data pipelines, transformations, and queries; exposure to Spark is preferred.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data stores (SQL, NoSQL, data lakes/warehouses) in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with data quality practices, validation rules, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level security clearance as required by client environment; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, operate, and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines using Python/SQL/Spark.
• Implement data models, schemas, and storage across data lakes/warehouses.
• Apply data quality validation techniques to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support orchestration and scheduling of pipelines with Airflow or similar tools.
• Optimize processing performance via indexing, partitioning, and distributed computing.
• Implement data security controls in coordination with security teams.
• Track and document data lineage and metadata for governance and audits.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and data inconsistencies across systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
