Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. in Ashburn, VA, seeks a Jr. Critical Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain 100% uptime for data center operations.

You will work on-site with senior engineers and site operations teams to support mission-critical infrastructure and ensure smooth performance across power, cooling, and life-safety systems. The role requires 1–3 years in facility operations within data centers or similar environments, with strong communication skills and familiarity with maintenance

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of facility ops experience in data centers, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with maintenance management and ticketing software platforms.
• Capable of working in high-pressure, high-availability (24/7/365) environments, including vendor coordination and emergency response.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of mission-critical facility systems, including UPS, generators, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
• Understanding of building automation systems, energy management, and control systems for mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review maintenance methods, standards, and operating procedures for all facility equipment.
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to plan and execute customer solutions, including space, power, and cooling requirements.
• Support the daily operations of critical infrastructure systems - including power, HVAC, and life safety equipment - ensuring optimal performance and rapid incident response.
• Assist in generating and maintaining up-to-date facility and compliance reports.
• Provide technical support during customer installations and integrations, ensuring successful project completion.
• Address operational issues promptly to uphold our commitment to 100% uptime.
• Liaise effectively with operations management, vendors, and stakeholders to implement and track solutions.
