Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- We look for advanced experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- We need strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), Dataflows, and semantic modeling.
- We require solid SQL and data integration capabilities.
- We value knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and star schema design.
- We prefer experience with Azure SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, and APIs.
- We would like familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks.
- We expect excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- We prefer experience working with Agile methodologies and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- We are seeking candidates with up to 3 years of experience in dashboard development or Power BI.
- We prefer a Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification.
- We value experience in government or large enterprise environments.
- We require U.S. citizenship.
- We require the ability to obtain or hold an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
- We design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and reusable datasets.
- We create interactive visualizations that communicate KPIs, trends, and operational performance.
- We develop and optimize data models using DAX, Power Query, and Dataflows.
- We integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- We manage security, scheduled refreshes, and Power BI workspace governance.
- We troubleshoot performance, refresh, and connectivity issues.
- We validate data accuracy and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- We collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into reporting solutions.
- We produce executive briefings, scorecards, and analytical reports.
- We provide user support and training on dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
- We identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- We monitor dashboard reliability and uphold quality assurance standards.
- We extract and combine datasets from different sources to create a unified data architecture and ensure consistency.
- We perform other duties as assigned by our supervisor.
