Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a data analytics professional to design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models, using DAX, Power Query, and Dataflows. You will integrate data from multiple sources and ensure security, governance, and data accuracy in a government-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree and up to 3 years of dashboard development experience, strong SQL, and familiarity with Azure SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, APIs, and Power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline is required.
• Advanced experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service is required.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), Dataflows, and semantic modeling is required.
• Solid SQL and data integration capabilities are required.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and star schema design is preferred.
• Experience with Azure SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, and APIs is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills are required.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and the Microsoft Power Platform is preferred.
• Candidates with up to 3 years in dashboard development or Power BI are encouraged to apply.
• PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification is preferred.
• Experience in government or large enterprise environments is valued.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain or hold an active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and reusable datasets.
• Create interactive visualizations communicating KPIs, trends, and operational performance.
• Develop and optimize data models using DAX, Power Query, and Dataflows.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Manage security, scheduled refreshes, and workspace governance in Power BI.
• Troubleshoot performance, refresh, and connectivity issues.
• Validate data accuracy and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Produce executive briefings, scorecards, and analytical reports.
• Provide user support and training on dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor dashboard reliability and uphold quality assurance standards.
• Extract and merge datasets from different sources to create a unified data architecture.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
