Job summary

Kaizen Global is a remote-friendly technology consulting firm focused on data analytics and AI. The Business Analyst will join client engagements as part of the Enterprise Data team, translating business needs into clear requirements and driving analytic solutions.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and product owners, documenting processes, refining backlogs, and supporting testing with SQL and Power BI. A 1–3 year BA background is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements through client stakeholder interviews, working sessions, and reviews of existing documentation.
• Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria and keep them current in Jira.
• Work with senior BAs and product owners to refine and prioritize the backlog.
• Track requirements from intake through development and testing so nothing gets lost.
• Learn and break down client business processes and identify data quality gaps and automation opportunities.
• Document data definitions, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionaries.
• Write basic SQL queries to explore data, validate requirements, and support testing.
• Review or build basic Power BI reports and DAX measures to understand metrics.
