Job summary

PCS Wireless, LLC. is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support the Data & Analytics team across Operations, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Engineering from Florham Park, NJ.

This entry-level role focuses on turning data into clear, reliable insights, communicating findings to support decision-making, and owning recurring analyses. You will write SQL queries, use Python to clean and analyze data, validate data accuracy, and develop dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related computational or quantitative field.
• Have up to one year of professional experience. Recent graduates are welcome.
• Hands-on experience from a data-related internship or personal projects with shareable work (GitHub/portfolio).
• Knowledge of SQL with ability to write joins and aggregations.
• Ability to write Python code for data analysis using pandas.
• Familiarity with at least one BI tool (Power BI or Tableau).
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new tools in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Understanding data flows and architecture is a plus.
• Completed coursework in data analysis, statistics, or BI is a plus.
• Interest in wireless/electronics/distribution/supply chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL queries against SQL Server to answer business questions and generate insights for multiple teams.
• Use Python to clean, analyze, and automate data workflows.
• Handle ad hoc analysis from question to presentation of findings.
• Validate data accuracy across reports and source systems, resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in building AI-assisted tooling to automate recurring analyses.
• Organize and reconcile data in Excel from multiple sources.
• Support finance-related analysis such as inventory, cost, and margin reporting.
• Monitor Power BI dashboards for data accuracy and refresh issues.
• Identify trends and anomalies in datasets and flag opportunities.
• Prepare data and visuals for internal and external decks and reports.
• Document data definitions, query logic, and recurring processes.
• Manage and prioritize requests from multiple teams.
