Job summary

Nimbis Designs is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to grow technical and analytical skills while contributing to client projects and internal tools.

You’ll work on reporting, data modeling, migrations, and analytics development in a fully remote setting within the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Basic SQL ability: querying data, joining tables, filtering, aggregating.
• Familiarity with Analytics tools (Zoho Analytics, Power BI).
• Clear communication skills: explain thinking, ask questions, collaborate.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven mindset with multi-project juggling.
• Experience with data cleaning or ETL processes.
• Familiarity with R or Python.
• Understanding of basic statistics or ML concepts.
• Experience with the Zoho ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements.
• Build reports and dashboards using Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other tools.
• Write and maintain SQL queries, clean and transform datasets.
• Validate data quality and identify anomalies across systems.
• Create ERDs, system maps, and architecture docs with Lucidchart.
• Produce deliverables like screen-share walkthroughs or documentation.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Data Analyst, you’ll grow your technical and analytical skills while contributing directly to both client projects and internal tools. You’ll work across reporting, data modeling, system migrations, and analytics development.

You will:

• Gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements, asking sharp questions to understand the “why,” not just the “what.”
• Build reports and dashboards using Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other similar tools.
• Write and maintain SQL queries, and clean, transform, and prepare datasets for analysis or system integration.
• Validate data quality and identify anomalies, missing information, or logic inconsistencies across systems.
• Create entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), system maps, and architecture documentation using tools like Lucidchart.
• Produce clear deliverables such as screen-share walkthroughs or brief documentation to support client understanding and internal collaboration.
