Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct RMF package input and support government review and approval.
• Review RMF documentation for completeness and readiness for certification analysis.
• Coordinate with the program team to collect missing information and resolve issues blocking certification analysis.
• Assist with FISMA compliance audits and provide status updates to the PM.
• Perform vulnerability analysis and STIG validation per DoD guidance.
• Review cybersecurity policy compliance to support secure IT asset configuration and operation.

ISSE SERVICES LLC is hiring a Junior Cybersecurity Information Analyst in Clearfield, UT (onsite) on a contract basis, with a salary range of USD 58,000 to 65,000 per year. This role supports the Information System Security Engineering team across compliance, risk management, and vulnerability analysis work, including FISMA-related efforts and DoD-aligned validation.

You will work in a structured environment supporting RMF package development, certification readiness, and continuous compliance activities. The position also includes an SECRET security clearance requirement and offers a solid benefits foundation, including 401(k), health insurance, dental and vision, basic life insurance, group short-term/long-term disability, paid sick time, and paid vacation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and review documentation to provide input for Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages submitted to the Government for review and approval
• Review RMF documentation for completeness and readiness for certification analysis
• Coordinate with the program team to collect missing information and help resolve issues that prevent certification analysis
• Assist with FISMA compliance audits and provide status updates to the PM
• Perform vulnerability analysis and STIG validation in accordance with DoD guidance
• Review compliance with current cybersecurity policy, regulations, and directives to support secure configuration and operation of IT assets, recommending corrective actions as needed
• Support the system ISSM by entering test results into eMASS

Requirements

• CompTIA Security+
• Ability to hold a DoD Security Clearance (clearance preferred)

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

• 0 to 2 years of experience in an Information Security position or IT Audit role, with experience performing security risk assessments
• Proven ability to create and maintain effective documentation, including policies, processes, and procedures
• General understanding of NIST 800-53r4 controls
• Knowledge of security controls for application development and management
• Good communication skills in both verbal and written form, with the ability to work across a range of roles and levels
• Professional, self-motivated, and able to maintain a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet commitments

Preferred

• BS/BA degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Training in Risk Management or IT Audit Methodology (strongly desired)
