Job summary

Levata in Portland, OR is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to support daily security operations, assist with tooling, and contribute to compliance initiatives under the guidance of a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer.

You will triage security tickets, help manage the CrowdStrike EDR platform, participate in vulnerability scanning, and collaborate with IT and security teammates to develop hands-on experience across enterprise security platforms.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of operating systems, networks, and identity management.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and GDPR controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team.
• 6 months to 2 years of cybersecurity or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, and resolve security tickets from IT Help Desk.
• Support administration of the email security gateway.
• Assist with Security Awareness Training platform operations.
• Provide support for CrowdStrike EDR and incident response.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation.
• Participate in security assessments of customers and vendors.
• Assist with collection and organization of artifacts for compliance.
• Collaborate with security team on initiatives and IR activities.
