Qualifications

Junior Cyber Security Support Analyst

The Opportunity:
This is an entry-level to junior cybersecurity role that supports compliance, documentation, and system integration efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and program leads. Ideal candidates have some exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), or related cyber activities in federal IT or DoD environments.

This role offers the unique opportunity to engage with a variety of government agencies, technology partners, and internal stakeholders. It also includes exposure to product lifecycle and configuration management activities, providing a broader perspective on how secure solutions are developed, maintained, and delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Support automation and documentation efforts to enforce STIG controls to accelerate Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of RMF documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, etc.).
  • Support CSfC solution integration tasks, including tracking compliance and configuration documentation.
  • Help coordinate security testing and support A&A activities.
  • Participate in meetings and working groups with various customer organizations, integrators, and vendors.
  • Perform cyber hygiene checks and assist in vulnerability management tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in support of ongoing audits and deliverables.
  • Learn and apply applicable DoD cybersecurity policies and NIST guidance.


Qualifications:
Required:

  • 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, system administration, or related IT roles.

  • Exposure to one or more of the following: RMF, CSfC, STIGs, NIST 800-53, or DoD cyber policy.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Python).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting system accreditation efforts in federal or DoD environments.
  • Familiarity with eMASS, Xacta, or similar compliance tracking tools.
  • CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 baseline certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$48,300-$96,600
