Job summary

CenCore is hiring Junior Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) for full-time, on-site work in Aurora, Colorado. This entry-level cleared security role is designed to build the skills needed to transition into a full Construction Surveillance Technician position.

You will support construction surveillance, access control, security documentation, and compliance within an active data center construction environment while coordinating with construction, security, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance.
• Must hold a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn construction-site security protocols and safety requirements.
• Ability to learn and use surveillance equipment, security systems, and related technology.
• Strong written communication, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activity to verify security compliance with protocols and plans.
• Control access to secure construction areas and verify authorization.
• Inspect areas for security, safety, quality, and compliance concerns.
• Identify and report security breaches, unsafe conditions, and noncompliance.
• Maintain daily activity logs, incident reports, observations, and security records.
• Coordinate with construction managers, security, and project teams.
• Communicate updates on site activity, security issues, and follow-up needs.
• Follow all site security, safety, access-control, and PPE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activity to verify compliance with security protocols, approved plans, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Control access to secure construction areas and verify that personnel are properly authorized.
• Inspect work areas for security, safety, quality, and compliance concerns.
• Identify and promptly report security breaches, unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, and noncompliance.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, observations, and required security records.
• Coordinate with construction managers, security personnel, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve concerns.
• Communicate clear updates on site activity, security issues, and required follow-up.
• Follow all site security, safety, access-control, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Education, training, or certification in construction management, security, physical security, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data center construction or secure facility operations.
• Experience in construction surveillance, construction security, physical security, construction site monitoring, access control, or a related field.
• Experience supporting cleared construction, government facilities, critical infrastructure, or other secure environments.
• Experience coordinating with construction teams, security staff, project stakeholders, or customer representatives.
• Familiarity with construction plans, site documentation, or inspection processes.

Compensation Overview
