Job summary

Triangle DeCon Services Inc. in Los Angeles invites applications for a Junior Scheduler to support scheduling for public works and educational facilities projects.

You will review contractor baselines and monthly updates, and collaborate with senior schedulers to ensure accuracy and compliance with scheduling guidelines. The role requires hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and Excel, strong organizational skills, and effective communication to coordinate with project teams and department

Qualifications

• 1 year of full-time scheduling experience for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, engineering, or construction management.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduling review comments for contractor baselines and monthly updates using LAUSD templates.
• Create and populate schedule-related reports in Excel and P6.
• Create Earned Value Curves per LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
• QA/QC on contractor submittals to ensure contract scope conformance.
• Analyze program codes, layouts, and reports to maintain data integrity.
• Update master schedule with as-built dates coordinating with Facilities teams.

This is a full-time position with Los Angeles Unified School District.

The ideal Junior Scheduler is a detail-oriented and analytical early-career construction professional with hands-on experience supporting scheduling efforts for public works or educational facilities projects. This candidate is proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel, understands schedule logic, QA/QC processes, and earned value principles, and is comfortable reviewing contractor baseline and update schedules for compliance with contract requirements. They bring strong organizational skills, the ability to interpret program-level coding standards, and the discipline to maintain data integrity across master schedules. A collaborative communicator, they work effectively with project teams while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to scheduling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule updates based on LAUSD review templates.
• Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel andP6 software.
• Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
• Perform QA/QC on contractors schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope andrequirements.
• Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary toensure data integrity.
• Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance withscheduling guidelines for various project types.
• Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input fromvarious Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start/finish dates.

Required Experience:

• One (1) year full-time paid professional experience responsible in Scheduling for an Owner or
  General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.

Required Education:

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree in engineering,
  architecture, engineering, or construction management.

• Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
