Job summary

Element Systems, LLC is seeking a Junior Estimator & Bid Coordinator to join our estimating and service team in Colorado. This junior role focuses on service estimating and the intake/qualification of bid opportunities, collaborating with estimating, sales, service, and operations to build experience in plan reading and Division 7 construction.

Candidates will estimate service and smaller construction projects, review plans and addenda, and develop scopes, pricing, and exclusions.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in construction, estimating, roofing, architecture, engineering, project coordination, or a related field preferred.
• Commercial roofing or exterior construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic ability to read construction drawings and specifications preferred.
• Willingness and ability to learn architectural, structural, and MEP plan reading.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn estimating and project-management software.
• Bluebeam experience preferred.
• Experience with estimating software is a plus.
• Comfortable using ChatGPT and other approved AI tools for document review and estimating support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Service Department estimating.
• Review incoming bid requests and determine whether they belong in Service or Production Estimating.
• Review plans, specifications, project manuals, and addenda.
• Identify applicable Division 7 requirements.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs.
• Develop scopes of work, pricing, assumptions, and exclusions.
• Review tenant finish and MEP plans for roofing-related work.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing when required.
• Perform site inspections when additional field information is needed.
• Route larger or more complex projects into the Production Estimating queue.
• Assist senior estimators with takeoffs and larger projects when workload allows.
• Help maintain an organized estimating pipeline and ensure opportunities are not missed or delayed.
