The role involves investigating, evaluating and settling claims, handling reserves, and communicating with insureds and attorneys.

Starting salary is $53,800 per year with a company car and a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, Extended Illness Leave, Pension and 401K matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
• Obtain Adjuster's license within 6 months.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Ability to negotiate settlements with claimants or attorneys.
• Strong numerical and mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, validate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle all claims as assigned.
• Submit reserve recommendations on assigned claims.
• Communicate with the public regarding procedures, problems, and coverages.
• Negotiate fair settlements with claimants or attorneys.
• Maintain claim files and follow departmental reporting procedures.
• Report risk reviews to Underwriting.
• Participate in training and continuing education courses as requested or required.
• Prepare estimates on auto and property losses.
