Job summary

MKA International, Inc. is seeking an entry-level civil/structural engineer to join a team of licensed engineers in Spokane, WA. You will apply knowledge of structural systems to forensic investigations across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities, including marine and inland structures.

The role emphasizes field work documenting conditions, reporting, and repairs. Candidates should have an ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering; EIT/FE is preferred, with willingness to travel when

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT or FE credentials preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS).
• Fundamental knowledge of structural engineering concepts and practices.
• Field experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Document as-built conditions and damage to structural systems from natural or human causes.
• Use codes and structural knowledge to establish repair scope and write analyses and reports.
• Evaluate design drawings and documentation.
• Travel as needed on short notice.
