Job summary

MKA International, Inc. is seeking a junior-to-mid level licensed Architect to join our team in Spokane, WA. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of building enclosures and perform forensic analyses related to residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities include investigating envelope failures, evaluating drawings, and communicating findings to clients and inspectors. Washington licensure (or NCARB eligibility) and willingness to travel are desired.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect in Washington or eligibility through NCARB.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic investigations of building envelope failures.
• Diagnose failures in building envelope systems and recommend remediation solutions.
• Document as-built conditions and damage from natural or human-induced events.
• Use codes and construction knowledge to define repair scope and origin analyses.
• Review drawings and documentation; communicate with clients and officials.
• Travel as needed on short notice.
