Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Orlando, FL is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to contribute to design, analysis, and implementation on site development projects. You will assist in technical design, project coordination, and ensure compliance under a licensed P.E. supervisor.

The role requires a ABET-accredited degree and EIT eligibility within 12 months, with opportunities for growth, overtime as needed, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date.
• Internship with a civil design firm is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Reliability and dependability.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using tools such as MS Office Suite.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions.
• Assist in the design and preparation of plans for commercial, residential, and site development projects, focusing on grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
• Analyze design alternatives to address site constraints and meet client objectives.
• Collaborate on permitting and regulatory compliance for site development projects.
