Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Irving, Texas office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects.

Successful candidates will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, GIS and other tools while learning regulatory standards and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client visions.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Kimley-Horn practices and standards.
• Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
