Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer in Columbia, SC, with Winter 2026 to Spring 2027 start. The role builds analytic and design skills, supports engineering design under guidance, and develops drawings, data analysis, and software use under supervision.

A Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering is required, with internship as a plus. Strong communication skills are essential, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Blue Beam, Adobe, and Microsoft products is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Prior Internship experience in a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Blue Beam, Adobe and Microsoft Products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills under supervision.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes data under supervision.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with budget and schedule under supervision.
• Works on assigned tasks from Senior Engineers and Project Managers.
