Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer in Columbia, SC. This position begins Winter 2026 to Spring 2027 and offers a hybrid work model.

You will assist with analytic and design tasks under the supervision of senior engineers, contributing to drawings, data analysis, and engineering calculations. Responsibilities include data collection, using software tools, and ensuring work aligns with budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Preferred internship experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Blue Beam, Adobe and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes data under supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with budget and schedule under supervision.
• Works on assigned tasks from Senior Engineers and Project Managers.
