McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Civil Design Tech I to support our engineering and design teams on water resources, restoration, hydropower, and infrastructure projects across North America.

This entry-level position provides hands-on experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and drafting standards while pairing with project leads, designers, and engineers to deliver accurate drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and drafting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D through coursework, internships, or professional experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Interest in water resources, restoration, hydropower, or civil infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of engineering drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Prepare figures, exhibits, maps, and plan sheets for project deliverables
• Assist designers and engineers with project production tasks
• Follow established CAD standards and QA/QC procedures
• Organize and maintain project files and documentation
• Participate in project coordination meetings
• Learn and apply company design and drafting standards
• Support multidisciplinary project teams on a variety of infrastructure projects
