Job summary

Dow Jones' Chemical Market Analytics (CMA) team is seeking an entry-level Research Analyst I to support market reports, client presentations, and data-driven projects. You will collaborate with international product experts and assist in producing data-backed insights for clients and conferences.

The role reports to the Research Coordinator - Team Lead and involves building Excel models, updating graphs, and preparing PowerPoint materials for client meetings. Initial training provided.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years' related experience.
• Degree in Chemical engineering, chemistry, natural science (preferred) or related discipline -OR- equivalent work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel; Power BI and/or Python knowledge or experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain graphs, tables, Excel-based models and databases.
• Edit and publish chemical market reports from the content management system to the website.
• Conduct research and collect data from industry associations and other data providers.
• Assist with maintenance of the chemical capacity database.
• Fulfill data requests and answer questions from clients.
• Create/update Microsoft Excel graphs and tables for weekly and monthly market reports.
• Proof-read and format text written for market reports.
• Create presentation materials in Microsoft Power Point for client meetings and conferences.
• Prepare materials for product expert travel.
• Gather and maintain data from external sources for market analysis.
• Support operations to improve and standardize processes.
