Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in a chemical plant or related industrial setting.
• Solid understanding of fundamental chemical engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of process safety principles is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Upington, Northern Cape.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in monitoring and optimizing chemical processes.
• Support troubleshooting of process deviations and equipment malfunctions.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Participate in safety reviews and contribute to the development of safe operating procedures.
• Assist with equipment inspections and minor maintenance activities.
• Help in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
• Learn and adhere to all plant safety, environmental, and operational policies.
• Work collaboratively with operators, technicians, and other engineers.
• Support process improvement projects and initiatives.
