About the Role

Our client, a growing industrial chemical manufacturer, is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Junior Chemical Engineer to join their production team located in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, contributing to the efficient and safe operation of chemical processes. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, assisting with process monitoring, troubleshooting, data collection, and the implementation of minor process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic foundation in chemical engineering principles and a strong desire to learn and develop their practical engineering skills. This role requires a dedicated individual who is eager to contribute to operational excellence and safety within the facility. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in monitoring and controlling chemical processes to ensure optimal performance.
• Gather and analyze process data, preparing reports on key performance indicators.
• Participate in troubleshooting operational issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Conduct basic process calculations and assist with equipment sizing and specification.
• Support the development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations and company policies.
