Carle Health seeks an Accountant Jr - Cash to support daily cash management within Workday Financial Management. You will handle cash receipts, apply payments, and perform reconciliations to ensure accurate cash records across departments.

This role collaborates with Revenue Cycle, Treasury, Grants, and Accounting teams to maintain precise cash activity. The position focuses on routine processing, research of discrepancies, and aiding month-end close.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in accounting/finance.
• Experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday Financial Management is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash activity handling.

Responsibilities

• Process and record cash receipts, ACH, wire transfers, and deposits in Workday.
• Apply customer payments to invoices, grants, projects, and other worktags.
• Reconcile daily and monthly cash activity between bank accounts and GL.
• Research unidentified deposits and unapplied cash.
• Prepare cash-related transactions and journal entries per policy.
• Monitor cash activity and generate routine cash reconciliation reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close related to cash.
• Support audits by gathering cash management documentation.
