HRforGrowth is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer for a rapidly growing packaging supply distributor based in Lyndhurst, NJ. You will support product sourcing, procurement, maintain inventory levels, and secure favorable supplier terms to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate products from suppliers based on quality, availability, pricing, and company requirements.
• Assist with the selection and procurement of product lines to support business and customer needs.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other purchasing conditions with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand customer requirements and ensure product availability.
• Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to support timely delivery of products.
• Ensure purchases comply with established contracts, specifications, and company requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, lead times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and supplier information.
• Support inventory planning and identify potential supply shortages or purchasing needs.
• Research market conditions, product availability, and supplier options to support purchasing decisions.
• Apply purchasing best practices to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, and supplier relationships.
• Communicate purchasing updates, issues, and recommendations clearly to internal teams and suppliers.
• Assist with resolving supplier, delivery, pricing, and product-related issues.
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development related to purchasing and procurement.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
