Industrial Rivet & Fastener Co. is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer Planner to support procurement, inventory planning, supplier management, and production scheduling activities to ensure efficient flow of materials and timely fulfillment of business needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Business Analytics and a minimum of 2 years of purchasing-related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Business Analytics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, inventory planning, or related role.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
• We are seeking candidates who reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Northvale, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Maintain accurate ERP system data, including supplier information, lead times, MOQs, pricing, and PO status.
• Monitor inventory levels and analyze purchasing trends to support replenishment planning.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to identify procurement requirements.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and resolve supply-related issues.
• Support demand planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling activities.
• Prepare purchasing and inventory reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with logistics coordination, supplier performance tracking, and supply chain optimization projects.
• Provide backup support across Purchasing, Logistics, Production Scheduling, and other supply chain functions as required.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
