Job summary

Culligan International Company in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Junior Buyer to support purchasing operations, manage purchase orders in SAP, and coordinate supplier activity to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will work with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues, track orders, and support efficient supply chain processes.

A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Relevant internship or some purchasing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions for accuracy.
• Order office supplies for the Libertyville location and manage the Amazon account.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchasing records.
• Expedite and de-expedite orders as needed.
• Manage vendor master data updates and maintain current tax-exempt certificates.
• Maintain accurate planning data within the ERP system to support purchasing activities.
• Place orders with vendors in SAP on a daily or as-needed basis.
• Update SAP with vendor-confirmed due dates in a timely manner.
• Track inbound deliveries and assist with discrepancies.
• Investigate issues related to blocked invoices and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Process vendor returns in SAP within a 30-day turnaround.
• Assist the Purchasing Manager with administrative duties related to the product lifecycle process.
• Actively support the department’s goals and initiatives.
