Qualifications

• 1+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related experience preferred.
• Experience working directly with vendors or suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and respond to changing business needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with numbers, including pricing, percentages, quantities, and order calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders
• Monitor inventory levels and determine appropriate reorder quantities
• Review backorders and open purchase orders to identify items requiring follow-up
• Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, availability, pricing, and order status
• Expedite orders when necessary to support business needs
• Partner with internal teams to resolve receiving and shipment discrepancies
• Monitor slow-moving and excess inventory and coordinate appropriate next steps
• Assist with product returns and supplier authorizations
• Support supplier performance evaluations and new product setup
• Assist with vendor negotiations and purchasing-related cost considerations
• Identify and troubleshoot inventory and supply chain issues
• Maintain accurate purchasing and order information within internal system
