Job summary

Stereotaxis, Inc. is seeking a Junior Buyer for its St. Louis facility to support manufacturing through timely procurement of materials, components, and services. You will generate POs, monitor deliveries, and liaise with Engineering, Production, and Quality to maintain supply chain flow.

Under the Senior Buyer Manager, you’ll coordinate with suppliers, manage ERP records, and support shipments globally while ensuring accurate purchasing data and audits.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement or inventory control experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Junior Buyer supports the procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing and business operations. This position assists with purchasing activities, supplier communications, inventory management, logistics coordination, and ERP transaction processing to ensure the timely availability of materials. Working under the direction of the Senior Buyer Manager, the Junior Buyer collaborates with Engineering, Production, Quality, Receiving Inspection, and Field Service to support production schedules and customer deliveries while maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier records.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials, components, equipment, and services in accordance with company procurement policies and ERP system requirements.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, track supplier deliveries, and follow up on late shipments to help ensure continuity of supply.
  • Assist the Senior Buyer Manager in sourcing materials and obtaining supplier quotations for new and existing components.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order acknowledgments, delivery schedules, pricing updates, and routine procurement inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning to support material requirements and communicate potential supply issues that may impact manufacturing schedules.
  • Support Engineering by obtaining supplier information, documentation, and quotations for new and existing products.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with transportation providers and logistics partners to support manufacturing operations, field service requirements, customer installations, and product deliveries.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, export documentation, and other import/export documentation as required.
  • Assist with maintaining supplier records, pricing, lead times, and purchasing data within the ERP system.
  • Support Supplier Quality activities by coordinating supplier documentation, assisting with Approved Supplier List (ASL) maintenance, and communicating supplier quality concerns.
  • Coordinate supplier returns (RMAs) and replacement material for nonconforming products in collaboration with Receiving Inspection, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and material transactions to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, and purchasing files to support audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and purchasing efficiencies and communicate recommendations to the Senior Buyer Manager.
  • Perform other purchasing, logistics, and supply chain duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in preferred.
  • 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
