Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Graduate/Associate Bridge Engineer (0-4 years) to join our Lehigh Valley, PA office. The role involves assisting in structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and overhead sign structures across multi-discipline projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

You'll contribute to plan production using 2-D/3-D modeling tools such as MicroStation, Open Bridge, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, with NBIS inspection work as needed and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Driving is a requirement of the position with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the structural analysis and/or design of bridges (highway & railroad), culverts, retaining walls, and overhead sign structures on a variety of projects.
• Assist with plan production by implementing 2-D and 3-D modelling using MicroStation/Open Bridge or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Involvement with NBIS Bridge inspections across the Pennoni footprint and occasional domestic travel.
• Learn and apply professional techniques to produce high-quality engineering documents for bridge design/inspection reports, specifications, and studies.
