Job summary

AECOM's Greenville, SC transportation team is seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to join the bridge/structures group. This role begins as soon as possible and aims to build analytic and design skills under the supervision of experienced engineers.

You will perform basic engineering calculations, draft drawings, and create innovative bridge designs using MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer. The position offers a hybrid work schedule in Greenville, SC and requires a civil engineering degree

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design, calculations, sketches, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Creates bridge designs using MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer.
Develops awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision.
Researches alternate solutions and design options to support the project team.
Communicates and collaborates with the full design team and others.
Supports the development of work products such as specifications, drawings, and graphics.
Follows detailed instructions and technical approaches for design.
Develops details and demonstrates awareness of QMS procedures.
