Zusammenfassung

Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Champaign, IL seeks a Bridge Associate I to contribute to the design and analysis of bridge projects. You will perform structural calculations, develop construction plans using MicroStation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on DOT and transportation clients.

This full-time role offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and exposure to all phases of bridge design.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 0-2 years’ experience designing structural systems for bridge projects.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, or other engineering design software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interest and/or familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT): permitting agency and industry design; permitting and construction standards; and/or policies and procedures.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check or have reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Perform structural analysis of bridge and infrastructure project elements.
• Develop load calculations and structural design computations for project components.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations and technical documentation.
• Design and draft structural elements, details, and connection designs.
• Develop plans and specifications using MicroStation software.
• Prepare complete and reviewable task deliverables that meet quality standards.
• Complete assigned tasks on schedule and within established project budgets.
• Work independently under the guidance of Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Review and check structural calculations and design work.
• Participate in coordination meetings with multidisciplinary project teams.
