Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Bioinformatics Analyst I to analyze large-scale single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data. Qualifications

• BS degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics or equivalent education.
• 0-2 years of work experience with bioinformatics in the relevant scientific domain.
• Proficiency in, at least, one modern scripting or programming language (Python, R, etc).
• MS in Biology, Computational Biology with coursework is preferred.
• Experience in high throughput sequencing data and single-cell genomics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for processing raw sequencing data from new single cell methods.
• Implement, apply and evaluate tools to process, integrate, batch-correct and visualize single-cell genomics data.
• Interpret the data and explain the results in research discussions with experimental collaborators.
• Develop tools and interfaces for visualization and interaction with the data.
• Develop new methods and tools for single-cell data analysis.
