Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Junior Billing and Record Analyst to validate and audit documents for invoicing before submission to Billing. You will coordinate with Pharmacy, Case Management, and other teams to ensure records are complete and correctly billed.

The role involves digitizing patient documents and supporting special projects, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing. The position requires an Associate degree in Medical Billing (or certification) and 1+ year of related experience,

• 1+ years of experience in medical billing or case coordination.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Validate that documents processed by Pharmacy and Case Management are accurate before billing.
• Follow up with Coordinators to ensure completion of records.
• Ensure all cases have been sent for billing and review administrative cases for invoicing.
• Validate and audit consultation cases for correct payment and review authorization letters for accuracy.
• Refer incomplete letters to medical plans and provide follow-up.
• Digitize patient documents on the platform and assist on special projects.
• Prepare patient payment agreements, quotes, or receipt evidence.

Job description

The Junior Billing and Record Analyst will be responsible for validating and auditing that the required documents for invoicing are accurate and complete before they are sent to the Billing Department.

Responsibilities:

• Validate that the documents processed by the Pharmacy and Case Management departments are accurate and complete before being sent to the Billing Department.
• Follow up with Coordinators to ensure completion of their records.
• Ensure that all provided cases have been sent for billing.
• Tabulate and review administrative cases to ensure proper invoicing.
• Validate and audit consultation cases for correct payment.
• Review authorization letters and ensure they contain the necessary and accurate information.
• Refer incomplete or modified authorization letters to medical plans and provide follow-up.
• Validate the receipt of payment agreement letters, if required.
• Check that co-payments have been communicated to patients during the Coordination process.
• Act as a liaison and provide support between the Pharmacy, Billing, Finance, and Metro Pavia.
• Responsible for digitizing patient documents on the platform.
• Assist in special projects as requested to meet the company's needs.
• Assist in preparing patient payment agreements, quotes, or receipt evidence.

Required:

• Associate degree in Medical Billing or Medical Billing Certification.
• 1+ years of previous experience in medical billing or case coordination.
• Excellent skill with MS Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
