Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Building Automation Specialist II in Columbus, OH to lead complex BMS programming and troubleshooting. You will support service and construction projects, act as technical lead for checkout and commissioning, and collaborate with project managers, customers, and subcontractors to resolve issues.

The role requires experience with BMS/HVAC controls, a minimum 2 years in a Specialist I role, and the ability to develop graphics logic from Sequences of Operation for

Qualifications

• Experience with BMS and HVAC controls is required.
• Minimum 24 months of experience as a Specialist I or equivalent.
• Diagnose complex programming issues and implement corrections.
• Create graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems.
• Participation in on-call rotation is anticipated in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the service lead for planned preventive maintenance, service calls, and projects when applicable
• Execute complex programming and system corrective actions
• Act as a primary resource to Project Managers for daily project status reports
• Serve as the technical lead for project field teams during checkout and commissioning processes
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex Building Management System issues
• Diagnose complex programming issues and implement corrections
• Create complex graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems
• Serve as the Holaday-Parks lead in commissioning and functional testing meetings
• Write and execute customer Method of Procedure and MCM documentation
• Manage subcontractor daily reports and performance
• Serve as the point of contact for necessary corrective actions involving subcontractors
• Perform other duties as project needs dictate

DAY TO DAY: The Building Automation Specialist II will support service and construction projects as a technical lead.
