Job summary

Garver’s Aviation Design Center in Fayetteville, AR is seeking an entry-level Aviation Project Engineer to design airport projects, including runways, taxiways, hangars, and terminal facilities. The role requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, producing complete design deliverables and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The candidate should have a ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, FE exam progress or plan, and strong communication; travel around 10% may be

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0-1 years of related experience (entry level).
• Passed the FE exam, or ability to do so within 6 months of hire.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers, including construction plans, specifications, design reports, permit documents, and cost estimates.
• Attend and document client kick-off and progress review meetings.
• Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
• Perform construction administration duties including attending weekly construction meetings, site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with change orders and closeout documentation.
• Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
