Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Junior Aviation Mechanic to join our team in Panama City, FL. This onsite role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ years in aviation maintenance or related fields; DoD-style practices preferred. US citizenship and active or Interim Secret clearance preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of aviation or LCAC-related maintenance, aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems.
• Experience using diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment.
• Experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with common hand tools and precision instruments (Torque Wrench, Feeler Gauge, Micrometer).
• Ability to interpret written instructions and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Use manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to assess and resolve issues.
• Document all maintenance actions per regulations and policies.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and supply personnel to ensure aircraft availability and readiness.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, orderly condition.
• Support operational checks, tests, and readiness evaluations as directed.
• Communicate professionally with MANTECH employees and clients.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Aviation Mechanic to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• - You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components.
• - Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
• - Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to accurately assess and resolve system issues.
• - Document all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
• - Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and supply personnel to ensure aircraft availability and mission readiness.
• - Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
• - Follow all applicable technical data, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• - Support operational checks, functional tests, and aircraft readiness evaluations as directed.
• - Communicate professionally with MANTECH employees and MANTECH clients
• - Perform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
• - Travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• - High School Diploma or equivalent
• - 1+ years of experience in aviation or LCAC related maintenance, aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems
• - Experience using diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment.
• - Experience performing maintenance or similar duties on mechanical, electrical systems, or hydraulic systems.
• - Professional experience using common hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as: Torque Wrench, Feeler Gauge, Micrometer, etc
• - Experience interpreting written instructions and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• - Experience working on military aircraft platforms.
• - Familiarity with DoD maintenance practices and reporting systems.
• - Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team.

Clearance Requirements:

• - U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim Secret before starting

Physical Requirements:

• - Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
• - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• - Work in confined/restricted spaces.
• - Climb and descend ladders.
