Job summary

Lamb's Tire & Automotive in Austin, TX is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostics and repair tasks, including oil changes, brake work, and light maintenance. Join a team focused on integrity and service excellence.

The role offers a starting wage of $15.00 to $28.00 per hour with production-based bonuses, Sundays off, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes.
• Documents vehicle condition using multi-point inspection/RO.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns.
• Maintains flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adheres to company values and policies.
