Job summary

Buckeye Nissan is seeking an General Service Technician to perform light maintenance and repairs, including lube, oil and filter changes, tire balancing and rotation, and cooling system flushing. This is an entry-level position designed to train and grow with the dealership.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs work on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per dealer and factory standards.
• Sells lubrication, safety inspection and related services; maintains records for regular customers.
• Inspects fluid levels and replenishes as needed; checks tire pressure and adds air.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts; saves and tags parts for warranty or customer request.
• Examines vehicle and determines if further work is required; informs service advisor if additional work is needed.
• Documents all work performed; road tests vehicles; participates in manufacturer training.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean; maintains tools and manuals; complies with safety regulations.
