Boyd’s Tire & Service has served Central Ohio since 1996, delivering high-quality tires and reliable repairs at multiple locations. The Junior Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles while adhering to MAP guidelines and Boyd’s standards.

Compensation varies from $20-$25 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, holidays, and comprehensive insurance, with advancement opportunities within the company.

Competenze

• Minimum unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience or training.
• Valid driver's license required or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work at least five days per week, including Saturdays.

Mansioni

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certification/experience level.
• Perform work as outlined on Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explain diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanics (Store Manager, Service Consultants, customers).
• Recommend services to keep the vehicle running; document recommendations in customer file.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintain ASE certifications and renewals before expiry.

The Junior Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers and Boyd’s Tire standards.

COMPENSATION : VARIES FROM $20-$25/HR, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Qualifications:

• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
• Possess valid driver’s license or obtain a valid driver’s license within 30 days of hire date.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
