Sun Auto Tire & Service in Parker, CO is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs, sharpening diagnostic skills alongside experienced technicians. Strong mechanical aptitude and automotive training help you grow within a values-driven shop.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years automotive experience in a shop environment or equivalent technical training.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and elevate concerns when needed.
• Basic proficiency with shop technology including DVI/MPI tools, scan tools, and documentation systems.
• Ability to possess and use basic tools required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license and MVR check.
• State Inspector License (or ability to obtain within 30 days if required).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections, document findings and photos to company standards.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs—oil/fluids, filters, batteries, tires, brakes, basic cooling, starting/charging.
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, and wear-item replacement.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues to senior/lead technicians.
• Follow repair procedures, torque specs, bleed procedures, and post-repair checks.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where allowed.
• Communicate findings and repair status to Store Managers and Service Advisors.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and use tools and PPE properly.
• Collaborate with team, accept coaching, and participate in ongoing training.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
