Auditor Of State seeks accounting professionals near Coshocton County for external financial audits. You will join small teams, perform financial statement testing, and contribute to audit findings. Initial assignments are of increasing difficulty, involving statute and rule review and collaboration with agency staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university (Accounting preferred).
• 16 semester hours or equivalent in accounting or related field beyond high school level OR at least three years’ experience in accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Travel to audit site work locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of auditing techniques, Ohio State government, auditing standards, and state fiscal practices.
• Be a contributing member of an audit team and complete assigned duties of limited scope.
• Travel to audit site locations and gather audit evidence; perform fieldwork and prepare workpapers.
