Job summary

CURE Auto Insurance is seeking an entry-level Associate Attorney to join its in-house legal team to support PIP and Coverage litigation in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. This role offers hands-on litigation experience, strong mentorship, and work-life balance in a direct-writing insurer.

The ideal candidate is a recent law school graduate or junior attorney with a JD from an ABA-accredited school, admission (or pending) to the New Jersey Bar, and a demonstrated interest in insurance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Internship or clerkship experience involving litigation, insurance, or regulatory work.
• Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and in good standing (or pending admission).
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in litigation and/or insurance law.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow guidance from senior counsel.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools; ability to learn internal systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Work as internal counsel in conjunction with claims to strategize, implement, and manage representation of CURE in PIP and Coverage litigation forms from inception to conclusion.
• Evaluating and providing detailed analysis of assigned cases in accordance with staff counsel policies.
• Collaborate with Claims to establish and implement litigation objectives and obtain prompt resolution of claims.
• Preparing and responding to arbitration demands, pleadings and discovery.
• Drafting and handling arbitration submissions and Rule 35 applications for dismissal.
