The Kim Lab (sskimlab.org) is interested in recruiting a Junior or Assistant Specialist to support our research program investigating gene regulatory mechanisms underlying cellular differentiation and reprogramming. We use cutting-edge techniques including CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, high-throughput pooled screens, next-generation sequencing assays of chromatin and transcription, and in vitro differentiations and organoid cultures of human pluripotent stem cells. The person is expected to read and critically analyze scholarly articles to stay current with advancements in the field. Experience with molecular biology and mammalian cell culture is preferred, while computer programming and data analysis skills are helpful. The Kim Lab is devoted to mentoring and career development for all lab members.

Requirements:
* Junior Specialists - Appointees to the Junior rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.
* Assistant Specialists - Appointees to the Assistant rank should possess expertise consistent with four (4) to six (6) years of training and/or experience in the relevant specialization. Appropriate qualifications for appointees at this rank would include possession of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, or possession of a relevant baccalaureate degree plus three (3) or more years of research experience.
