Abel Design Group in Austin invites a Designer to contribute to innovative design solutions, guiding projects from schematic design through construction documents under a Senior Project Manager’s supervision.

The role requires 1–3 years of architecture/design experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design, and Revit proficiency; licensure is preferred with knowledge of AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3ds Max.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design is required.
• Licensure in Architecture or Interior Design is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Additional software includes AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3ds Max.

Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of Project Manager/Senior Project Manager.
• Attend client planning meetings to take meeting notes.
• Perform field verification of existing conditions.
• Prepare design drawings from schematic design through construction documents with minor supervision.
• Implement technical resolution and coordination of design intent.
• Communicate with consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project documents.
• Assist in material selection and product specification.
• Support project team with administrative duties and project correspondence.
• Contribute to office initiatives and learning programs.
