Job summary

Period Architecture, Ltd. in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Junior Architect to support design teams on residential projects. The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and a passion for learning within an established firm.

You will assist with creating 2D/3D drawings, presentations, and project research, while developing skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite to support design development from concept to permit stage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in architecture.
2+ years of architecture experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Experience with SketchUp and Lumion preferred.
Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator proficiency.
Creative and passionate about traditional residential design.
Strong attention to detail and communication.
Ability to manage time and open communication with team members.
Inquisitive and motivated for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Convert surveys into existing condition drawings based on firm standards.
Conduct and produce thoroughly researched zoning reviews.
Utilize software, such as SketchUp and Lumion, to produce renderings.
Utilize AutoCAD to draw details, plans and elevations per design team instruction.
Utilize Adobe Suite to produce design presentations.
Research project-specific precedents for presentations.
Use ResCheck to ensure energy code compliance.
Print drawings and prepare design presentations.
Assist project teams with redlines and other tasks.
