Job summary

Escher GuneWardena Architecture in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Junior Designer with 2 to 5 years of experience to support a senior project manager from schematic design through construction documents. The position offers a salary range of $70,000 to $84,000 annually and a health insurance benefit.

Candidates should have a professional degree in architecture, strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, proficiency in 3D rendering and the ability to work independently in a small, design-driven office.

Qualifications

• Professional Degree in Architecture (minimum B. Arch or equivalent).
• Strong visual presentation skills with rendering skills using 3D modeling software.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
• Good communications skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good organizational skills - including scheduling and correspondence.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of architectural building systems with ability to create structural, mechanical and other engineering drawings under guidance of senior personnel.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. immediately upon selection.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Principals and Senior Project Manager in Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents Phases; Develop accurate physical and virtual three-dimensional models of projects (using Revit, and other 3d Software); Help to prepare drawing packages under the guidance of senior personnel. Applicant should be a self-motivated person able to work independently and efficiently with minimal direction. Demonstration of graphics/design sensibility of work samples compatible with the aesthetics of the firm will be a determining consideration.
