Job summary

Pembrooke and Ives is seeking a Junior Interior Architect with at least two years of experience to work closely with Designers, Project Managers, and Studio Directors as a member of the Design Team. The role focuses on support and coordination throughout the project delivery process.

Responsibilities include producing concept images and drawings, developing 3D models, coordinating with stakeholders, attending client meetings, and assisting with material sourcing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of demonstrated work experience with interior design and/or architectural firms.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Strong communication and time-management skills, with an emphasis on presenting and coordinating with teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and communicates effectively with project stakeholders to convey project information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assists, develops and produces concept images, mood boards, drawings, 3D models and renderings.
• Collaborates on bid documents, consultant drawings and finish samples, and reviews project documentation for accuracy.
• Attends meetings with clients and project teams, prepares agendas, minutes and client presentations.
• Assists with sourcing, selecting and specifying materials, finishes, fixtures, hardware and equipment.
• Supports value engineering and ensures design intent is maintained during construction.
• Inspects and documents contractor services to verify design compliance.

Job description

Pembrooke and Ives is looking for a Junior Interior Architect with at least 2 years' experience to work closely with Designers, Project Managers, and Studio Directors to provide support and co-ordination throughout the project delivery process as a member of the Design Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Communication & Coordination:

• Coordinates and communicates effectively with project stakeholders including other project team members, clients, vendors, building management, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors to convey project information in a timely and accurate manner.

Project Drawings, Documentation & Deliverables:

• Assists, develops, and produces concept images and mood boards.
• Assists, develops and produces project drawings including surveys, conceptual drawings/sketches, floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, electrical plans, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans, framing plans, sections, millwork drawings and detail drawings.
• Assists, develops and produces 3D models and renderings.
• Assists in the production of qualified contractors list.
• Assists the project team in preparing project documentation including material schedules, finish schedules, fixture schedules, hardware schedules and appliance & equipment schedules.
• Participates in value engineering efforts under the direction of senior team members to achieve construction budget goals.
• Collaborate with project team members to review and comment on bid documents.
• Collaborate with project team members to review and comment on consultant drawings, shop drawings and finish samples.
• Assists with inspecting, observing and documenting services provided by contractors and sub-contractors for design intent.

Meetings & Presentations:

• Attends, participates and contributes in meetings with clients, internal project team, contractors, sub-contractors and vendors by preparing agendas, taking notes, and preparing meeting minutes.
• Assists in the production of client presentations in conjunction with other project team members.

Sourcing, Selection & Specification:

• Assist in sourcing, selecting and specifying project materials, finishes, fixtures, hardware, appliances and equipment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Possesses good time management skills and is able to handle multiple project deadlines.
• Highly presentable, intelligent, confident and discreet with an outgoing, upbeat and confident demeanor.
• Goal and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture.
• At least 2 year of demonstrated work experience with Interior Design and/or Architectural Firms.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 (depending on experience) + Performance-Based Bonus
