Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level Applications Engineer to support both pre‑ and post‑sales activities for our client’s products. The role offers strong growth potential with training and mentorship.

Responsibilities include handling substantial customer interactions, aiding sales with technical insights, and providing post‑sales support including installations and troubleshooting. Some travel may be required as the position grows.

Qualifications

• Engineering – Applications / Pre- & Post‑Sales Technical Support
• Skill Specialty: Flange Isolation Kits (FIK), Monolithic Isolation Joints (MIJ), Corrosion mitigation and cathodic protection, Pipeline systems and mechanical components, Customer technical support and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Handling ~60–70% customer interaction: calls, emails, presentations, internal support, and technical research.
• Supporting sales teams with technical expertise during customer conversations.
• Providing post‑sales support including install guidance and troubleshooting (site visits).
• Conducting root cause analysis, field support, and occasional global travel (Middle East, Europe, Asia, North America).
• Learning corrosion basics, cathodic protection, flange specifications, and product design fundamentals in the first 3 months (supported by on-the-job and other training efforts).
• Growing toward autonomous customer‑facing work, presentations, and potential future paths (sales engineering, product management, or R&D/product development)
